WINNER OF MOTHER'S DAY GIVE AWAY...

Saturday, May 7, 2011

As I read each of your comments regarding motherhood I found myself wanting to crochet a blanket for every one of you. And I will...if you come hold my baby:). Seriously though, I was very touched by your responses.

Alas, for now I only have one afghan to gift and the only fair way to choose a winner is to randomly draw a name. Here goes...

The winner is Nancy H.! Happy Mother's Day Nancy.

Thanks everyone for participating. There will be many more give aways to come. In fact, I took a trip with Sassafras today to a giant shop of hand made items and it got my creative juices flowing. So, check back soon for some fun things for spring and summer.

Happy Mother's Day to you all. I love my mom so much. She is the most selfless, kind, hard working woman I know and I feel privileged to have been raised by her. I am also thankful to all the amazing women who are in my children's lives and mother them when I can't be with them (Teachers, aunts, friends, grandmothers, church leaders, etc.).

I feel overwhelmed with gratitude that I am blessed with three amazing children and that they have been entrusted to me. I love them more than can be described and adore being called "mommy".

“Motherhood is near to divinity. It is the highest, holiest service to be assumed by mankind”
“No other success [in life] can compensate for failure in the home”
"...One of the greatest things a father can do for his children is to love their mother."
Whether you are a mother, are celebrating your mother, missing your mother, longing to be a mother, or
helping other mothers...Take some time today to reflect on the beautiful calling of motherhood. Here are some more quotes pertaining to this privileged and powerful position.
